Follow along as John shows you how to mount a red dot sight (Leupold Delta Point Pro) to a Glock 19's rear sight dovetail slot - without having to have the slide cut, machined or permanently altered!
Pistol-mounted red dot sights are increasingly popular, but you don't have to have a modified permanently to try one out!
Why would you use a mount that utilizes the same dovetail slot as the rear-sight and NOT have the slide cut, you might ask?
► A cut slide is a permanent modification, and if you'd be SOL if you discovered that you didn't like using a red-dot sight on your gun after having it machined.
► Cost is King! The Outer Impact plate seen in this video runs approximately $25, while having the gun's slide cut to accommodate a red-dot sight can cost a couple hundred dollars.
If you find that you enjoy running an optic on your pistol, you can always go down that road later!
The Outer Impact adapter plate can be mounted to most pistols, such as the M&P, Glock, Springfield and more, and is capable of mounting most major micro red dot optics like the Trijicon RMR, Vortex Venom & Viper, Burris Fastfire 3, and more.
Before you purchase your mount, make sure it's designed to be used with your make/model of sight and your specific pistol.
