0:00 Intro
I wanted to bring back sunset colors on the right side, while still having a rather dark, blue sky on the left. Also, I wanted to make those light of the village a little more visible by changing the colors slightly. All of this was done in Photoshop, while for the biggest part of the editing I used the camera raw editor.

0:19 1. Basic Adjustments
I changed the profile to Adobe Landscape first to get a little more saturation. Then, I adjusted the white balance (increasing temperature and tint) to get warmer colors which fit for the sunset look I was aiming for.
I brought up the highlights slightly as the whole image was a little dark. Also, I dropped the shadows and increased the whites for more contrast and slightly raised the blacks for a subtle “soft” look. To further increase the softness, I dropped the clarity slightly. Finally, I added vibrance and saturation.

2:45 2. Local Adjustments
First, I used a linear gradient on the left side of the sky. Here, I dropped the exposure to make that area darker.
Next, I wanted to add glow and warmth on the right. Here, I used two differently sized radial gradients. On the bigger one, I increased the blacks and decreased dehaze for a subtle glow and also added temperature and saturation for more color. On the smaller radial gradient, I increased the whites to make the glow more intense and also added more color with the temperature slider.

5:33 3. Color Grading
To change the lights in the village, I dropped the red and orange hue. To fix a subtle purple color cast in the sky, I dropped the purple hue.
For the split toning, I added a warm tone to the highlights, while adding a cold color to the shadows and the mid-tones.

8:03 4. Photoshop
Using a new soft light layer, I added some more glow with the brush on the right side. Then I added a gradient map adjustment layer to do a little more split toning to make highlights warmer and shadows colder.
