Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman's 1984 creation of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has delighted fans for the past thirty years. The TMNT was initially developed as a parody of the grimy, gloomy superhero comics of the 1980s. However, because of the astronomical success of their highly famous Saturday morning animated series, they ended up being one of the biggest kids' brands of the decade. With hundreds of toys and several comic books, along with three full-length movies, the Ninja Turtles reigned in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
