Summer Solstice | Wildcamp | Kinder Scout | Peak District | OEX Jackal 2.

Very much in need of a couple of days in the rugged wilderness, with an overnight camp, we had planned to head off at the end of the week. Leading up to this, we had realised that Thursday through to Friday would be the Summer Solstice.. well, that would be just perfect!

Kinder Downfall has been on our Wild Camp 'to do' list for a while, so, with the weather forecast looking fantastic and the Downfall being the perfect vantage point for a special sunset if we were lucky enough to get one, (and bloody hell did we get one!!) 😊, then that just had to be the plan.

We were blessed!! ☀️ When you think you couldn't possibly top your last camp.. then you blow it out the water, you again realise that this is such a very special thing to do in some of the most spectacular scenery you could ever wish to see. Beautiful, magical.. wonderful. ✨⛺✨
