How This Husband and Wife Built an Award-Winning Craft Brewery in Tulsa, OK | Oklahoma Originals

It all started with a cabin in the woods. In 2010, Jeff McIlroy recruited his son, Austin, to help him build a log cabin from the ground up. The cabin became a gathering spot for friends and family, an escape from the daily hustle and bustle of life, later inspiring the brewery's brand. Austin's home brewing hobby, encouraged by his wife Lisa, grew into a passion for the craft beer industry, which lead him to the World Brewing Academy in Chicago, IL, and Munich, Germany, to gain commercial brewing experience. Lisa, an artist and graphic designer, created the Cabin Boys brand, and together, Austin and Lisa McIlroy launched Cabin Boys Brewery in 2017 to create a community-focused space and a product that would bring people together. Today, they focus on making quality ales in traditional styles with their own creative twists.
