In hind site, the only reason I took off the blades is because of other videos doing this to slide the cutter in from the side of the machine. Since I came in from the inside as shown, blade removal is unnecessary. Repeating here what I say in the video, you don't need to file the machine body to install these. I have since used the new cutter head and it works as expected and like others have said, much quieter then straight blades. Almost no tear out even going over large knots in Walnut.
