Khaltaro is one of the villages in Haramosh Valley in Gilgit Baltistan. It is accessed through an off-road track from Sassi, a small town located on the Jaglot-Skardu road. The Khaltaro road is a 2 hour long, narrow off-road track with a very deep drop. It is a very scary road which makes the Fairy Meadows jeep ride look like a walk in the park.

The Khaltaro valley has several main attractions. If you trek further into the valley from Khaltaro you pass by a few beautiful villages such as Khaya, Kalijut and Pamiri. The valley ends at the 7 waterfall point where as many as 7 small waterfalls can be seen simultaneously, whilst a larger 'Saral' waterfall can be seen on the other side.

The main attraction of this valley is the Khun Meadows. This is a vast green meadow with panoramic views of the surrounding 6000, 7000 and 8000m mountains such as Nanga Parbat, Malubiting, Haramosh Peak, Miar Peak and Bilchar Dobani.
