Hiking 70 km from Kashmir to KPK - Ratti Gali Lake to Besal via Gattian, Saral and Dudipatsar Lakes

The first lake in this trek is Ratti Gali Lake and the last is Dudipatsar Lake, which is why this trek is sometimes referred to as Ratti Gali to Dudipatsar trek. Alternatively, it is also called the Kashmir to Naran trek since it starts in Kashmir and ends near Naran in the town of Besal. This trek should also be called the Kashmir lakes trek since all but dudipatsar lake exist in Kashmir.

It takes 6 days to complete this trek, during which you cover about 70 km, going over three 4,000m + mountain passes and visit 5 major and several minor lakes.

The trek should be considered as one of the best treks in Pakistan due to the fact that it covers several exotic locations which are situated in remote wilderness such as Gattian Lake and Saral Lake. It is also one of the rare treks which include not one, not two, but three mountain passes, all higher than 4,000 metres. Going over these passes and descending onto stunning remote lakes is the truly unique selling point of this trek.
