Removing the Clutch
(Manual 8-10)

Tools used:
5mm Allen key
1/4" ratchet
10mm socket
Screwdriver
11/16 socket
impact wrench

Do not operate the clutch lever after removing the clutch.
Remove the oil bolts and engine oil pipe that go underneath the slave cylinder. Store oil pipe in Bin C, Slot 1. Reinsert the bolts and washers.
Remove the nine, 5mm Allen head clutch cover bolts. Store in Bin C, Slot 2
Carefully remove the five, 10mm spring-loaded pressure plate bolts in a crisscross pattern. Store in Bin C, Slot 3
Remove the clutch lifter rod (It slides out) and store it in the large clear plastic bin
Remove the clutch discs and store them next to the clutch cover on the shop towel.
Carefully bend the lock nut away from the lock nut
Using the impact wrench and 11/16th socket, a quick hit of the trigger will loosen the lock nut. Store lock washer and lock nut in Bin C, Slot 3
Carefully pull on the clutch outer. The center clutch guide and needle-bearing sleeve will begin to pull forward. Carefully remove the inner clutch guide and bearing sleeve. Once removed, the clutch outer can be tilted and removed from the case. Place the clutch outer upside down on the shop towel and reinsert the needle-bearing sleeve and clutch outer guide into the clutch outer. Remove the primary driven gear.
