Structure Fire Point Pleasant, NJ 4/14/21

At around 3:50 PM Point Pleasant Police got a call for a smoke condition at 213 Ida Dr in Point Pleasant Boro. Cheif arrived and noticed heavy but lazy smoke in the home. Early reports were a fire in the basement due to dyer issues possibly. All of the Boro responded with Station 24 for the FAST TEAM. They quickly stretched an attack line from 7505 and headed in to get water on the fire. It took crews a couple of minutes to find the actual fire then it was reported that there was water on the fire. A second line was stretched and then went in on the attack with that one also. Soon after interior crews asked for ventilation. The cause of the fire is unknown at the time and is under investigation by the Ocean County Fire Marshalls and the Point Pleasant Police Department.
