Week 13 of my Ironman Training Vlog for the 2024 Ironman Chattanooga Race this September (among many other races throughout the season).
This week was the start of my 2 week taper for Eagleman 70.3. I decided to increase my swim volume and set a goal of 10,000yds for the week. I’m currently dealing with a potentially serious ankle injury so I scaled back on any heavy running and put my focus into the swim and the bike this week. We will be looking into this issue after Eagleman and planning from there.

Week 13:
Monday: Open Water Swim 🏊‍♂️
Tuesday- Pool Swim 🏊‍♂️
Wednesday- TT Cycle 🚴🏽
Thursday- Lake Swim, Group Ride/Run🏊‍♂️🚴🏽🏃🏻
Friday- Pool Swim 🏊‍♂️
Saturday- Long Threshold ride, Easy Run 🚴🏽 🏃🏻
Sunday- Pool Swim, Easy Run 🏊‍♂️ 🏃🏻

This vlog covers my daily training, lifestyle, and various other races along the way as I attempt to reach some new goals this season.
I race as an age group triathlete in the 35-39 division. My goals are to be competitive within the top of the field and to try to secure world championship qualifications, but at the very least I will be having all of the fun along the way.
