Sonoff TRVZB review + setup + NO-BATTERY Hack / battery eliminator adapter

Sonoff has a brand new, zigbee radiator thermostat! The TRVZB is a great bit of kit, and excellent value at a low price👌. It is very quiet and looks sexy😁. I'm however not a big fan of battery operated devices. Batteries can let you down when you least expect it. So in this video I will also attempt to do a battery eliminator modification. I will make some dummy batteries, that allow you to power the TRVZB, from a USB phone charger. We can drop about 0.6Volt with a 1N4007 diode, so we get approximately 4.5Volt from a 5V supply. That way I will never have to worry about flat batteries, letting me down again😉👍.
