When selecting a diode mixer for RF applications, one of the most important selection criteria is the Level of the mixer - which is the LO Drive level. This video describes the LO drive level, and how it affects the commutation of the diodes, and the mixer performance parameters such as Conversion Loss, 1dB Compression level, IP3, distortion, etc. The mixer used in this video is a Mini-Circuits ADE-1ASK:
