Recipe :
Poha Premix
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
1 tbsp ghee
½ tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp chopped green chilies
10-12 curry leaves
¼ cup raw peanuts
¼ tsp turmeric powder
1 cup poha (thick chiwda)
Salt to taste
1 tsp black pepper powder
Method:
Heat ghee in a pan. add the mustard seeds and allow to splutter. Add the chopped green and allow the green chilies to cook for a minute till the chilies turn fragrant. Add the curry leaves and allow to splutter. Now add the peanuts and sauté till the peanuts turn golden.
Add the turmeric powder, mix and then add the poha. Mix well and cook the poha for a few minutes. Add the chili powder, salt to taste, black pepper powder and mix well. Cool and store in an airtight container.
To make instant poha, to one part of premix, add one part boiling water, cover with an airtight container and allow to stand for 3 -4 minutes. Open, fluff with a fork and enjoy an instant poha!

Upma Premix
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
1 tbsp ghee
1 tsp chana dal
1 tsp urad dal
½ tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp chopped green chilies
1 tsp minced ginger
10-12 curry leaves
¼ cup peanuts
2 tbsp chopped cashew nuts
1 cup rava (suji)
Salt to taste
½ tsp red chili powder
2 tbsp raisins
Method:
Heat the ghee in a pan. Add the chana dal and sauté for 2 minutes. Add the urad dal and sauté till both the dals turn golden. Add the mustard seeds, allow to splutter. Add the curry leaves, then the green chilies and the minced ginger and cook till the ginger and green chilies lose all their moisture. Add the peanuts and sauté till the peanuts turn golden.
Add the cashews, mix and then add the rava. Mix well and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
Add salt to taste, red chili powder and the raisins. Mix well and remove from heat.
Cool and store in airtight containers.
To make instant upma, to one part of premix, add 3 parts boiling water, cover with an airtight container and allow to stand for 3 -4 minutes. Open, fluff with a fork and enjoy an instant upma!

Halwa Premix
Preparation Time: 10minutes
Ingredients:
¾ cup rava
2 tbsp ghee
2 tbsp chopped cashew nuts
2 tbsp raisins
1 ½ cup powdered sugar
Method:
In a pan, dry roast the rava on medium heat till it is golden. Stir constantly.
Add the ghee and mix well. Sauté till the rava is fragrant and a bright golden colour.
Add the raisins, cashew nuts and mix well.
Cool completely and then mix in the powdered sugar.
Store in an airtight container.
To make instant halwa, to one part of premix, add 2 parts boiling water, cover with an airtight container and allow to stand for 4-5 minutes. Open, fluff with a fork and enjoy an instant halwa!
