In this edition of Tarikh, Nikhil talks about Constitution day also known as Samvidhan Diwas and Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Speech on 25 November 1949 in Constituent Assembly. In his Speech Ambedkar warned that there should be no place for unconstitutional Protest after Independence and that Satyagrah and Civil Disobedience. In another section of his Speech Ambedkar warned Indians for making politicians into idols and worshipping them. In his third warning, Ambedkar wanted india to be a social democracy rather than only political democracy. Was Ambedkar really against Public protest and what was his explanation for that.
