The Mayslake Peabody Estate - Part 1 - Building Tour

In this video, we tour the Mayslake Peabody Estate, the original house built by Francis S. Peabody in the early 1920s as a "gentleman's farm" for his retirement, as well as the additional buildings constructed by the Franciscan Fathers of St Louis, in the making of a Roman Catholic St Francis retreat facility, which served from the mid 1920s until the early 1990s. The house and estate are now part of a DuPage County Forest Preserves, located in Oakbrook, DuPage County, Illinois. This video was created in collaboration with the DuPage County Forest Preserve District.
