Food Review Friday 96: Too Good To Go

This week's review is a little different.

Hunger is a major concern of mine and this week we're looking at an app that is supposed to help reduce food waste called Too Good To Go. It partners with local businesses to sell leftover food that hasn't gone bad at a huge discount to interested parties. You supposedly get tons of food that is still good at a huge discount, but is it worth it? Or is it just table scraps? I tried 3 different orders.

In the end it's true you're buying food that would otherwise get thrown away. The ads show hot prepared meals but you're really getting leftovers. Most of the options are pastries and doughnuts which can be good as they hold well as long as you get them the same day, but this is in no way a replacement for meals, just a nice treat.

You do get a huge discount but some of the items are overpriced anyway, so it's a mixed bag. Overall, worth a try.
