Former children’s hospital patient joins Iowa Hawkeyes football team

The University of Iowa football team has a memorable tradition. At the end of the first quarter, thousands of fans stand to wave to the patients at Stead Family Children’s Hospital, which overlooks the field. Now, a former patient at the hospital is taking to the gridiron as a member of the team. NBC’s Harry Smith reports in this week’s Sunday Spotlight.
