SCP-2524 is a Safe-class anomalous object that, when a living human's shadow is cast by its flame, creates a life-sized marionette puppet shadow that mimics the movements of the human subject. The strings of the marionettes converge to a single point above SCP-2524, with occasional pulsating circles visible at the convergence point.

Recovered from a fairground in Georgia, SCP-2524 was in the possession of a widower and fortune teller who refused to elaborate on its purpose or origin. The anomalous effects originate from the candle wick, with the wax being non-anomalous. The marionette shadows have been observed to act outside of typical parameters for imitation of their human counterparts, displaying unexpected and sometimes playful behavior.
