Tracing the Dungannon-Cookstown railway line on Google satellite and street view

There are a few structures built on top of the old Dungannon-Cookstown railway line, but there is plenty of open country beside them and the vast majority of the old right of way remains undisturbed. Stewartstown station remains in place, seemingly as a private home. Coalisland presents a bit more of a challenge but it still looks like the line could be reopened on most of the original route.

The most exciting part is that the two station buildings in Cookstown are still in excellent condition and in daily use. The GNR station building is used by Cookstown Hockey Club, and if the satellite photos are up to date it seems like there is potential for getting the line reopened all the way into the GNR station at its original location, which is a short walk from the town's main street.
