Generator Belt Noise Solution

Описание к видео Generator Belt Noise Solution

Watch a detailed demonstration of how to resolve a noisy generator belt on commercial Spinner® bikes by re-aligning the pulley.

Equipment needed: 3mm, 4mm, 5mm Allen wrenches, small cleaning brush, two 4mm replacement screws, two additional larger washers.

Steps:

1. Carefully remove the belt guard without hitting or damaging the generator.
2. Remove the generator (unclip the generator wire first).
3. Inspect the pulley and use a brush to remove any debris.
4. Brush away any debris in the tracks beneath the generator belt and on the belt itself.
5. Inspect both sides of the belt for any cuts or tears, and then place it back on the tracks.
6. Remount the generator, using the original washers and the replacement 4mm screws. Use the new larger washers on the backside of the bracket to re-position it.
7. Snug up the screws to the point where there is no slack in the belt. It should be just to the point of being taut; do not overtighten.
8. Reattach the generator wire.
9. Check to be sure the noise has been eliminated.
10. Replace the belt guard.
