Seated Guard Retention

This video will go over retaining (keeping) your seated guard against standing and kneeling opponents (Guard Passers). Specifically, their common movement patterns. This means multiple forms of guard passing, such as Toreando, Knee Slice, Side Smash, and Body Locks.

1️⃣Part one will go over multiple scenarios and details for retaining your seated guard against a standing guard passer. This mainly encompasses general movements such as the Toreando and the Knee Slice.

2️⃣Part two keeps the same focus for kneeling guard passers. Typically, you will be faced with slower, pressure style passes such as body locks, the side smash, and the top player forcing half guard.
