The Journey - Ground Floor Casting (Roof & Floor) Has Been Completed - Ep. 46

Final ground floor dirt backing filling for the foundation footers have been completed with all electrical and plumbing roughing placed within the structure to accommodate the current and upper levels. This was a huge milestone and places a large part of the main foundation work behind in the construction process and to just now to focus on block work, columns and floors.

The weather and the unavailability of the machine did slowed things down a bit but the crew made up for things at the end of the process. Items such as blocks and additional steel rebar have already been ordered and enroute as to not slow anything down on the next phase.

This casting took 70 yards of 3500 PSI concrete and was dreading it would have taken much more but this is the baseline for the remaining floors which will be just a little bit less. Process ended very late in the day but the trucks would keep coming until everything was completed.
