A good or intense meditation is never enjoyable. Do not expect any joy out of meditation. That only comes from bad meditation because in that you are just sitting, listening to some nice music or thinking about some good things. You get up and feel nice and think that it was a good meditation. Such meditation will only bring about one percent change in your life because it is not real meditation.

Meditation is learning how to do nothing. All our lives we have been conditioned to believe that we have to do something to be something. That somehow you have to be doing something to be productive. Research states that there are great health benefits if you are lazy and you don’t always push yourself. Lazy people are less stressed and they live longer. Only two types of people can live in solitude, a true yogi or a true lazy. They can be happy on their own. Meditation is laziness with awareness and it is incredibly powerful because you can be you without being tensed. That is what laziness is. There is no tension in laziness but you are aware that this is how I am leading my life right now.
