How to make Sweet Ginger Soup for Tang Yuan
Or Glutinous Rice Balls

Ingredients:

Any store bought Tang Yuan/Glutinous Rice Balls
(Peanut/Black Sesame/Red Bean paste)

For 1 packet (consists of 10 balls)

600ml water
2 daun pandan
½ cup sugar to taste
4-5 fresh ginger slices, lightly crushed

P/S: If you cook more than a packet, then you may make more sugar syrup. I used 800ml water as I added another packet of Tang Yuan.

Method:

Boil the water together with the daun pandan and ginger for about 15 minutes. Keep it covered.
Now, add in the sugar and boil for another 5 minutes. When sugar has dissolved, then add in the rice balls.
Let it continue to boil. It will start to float once it’s cooked. Turn off the flame. Serve it while it’s hot in a bowl and enjoy!
You may add different flavours (peanuts/red bean/black sesame paste) to the balanced sugar syrup and continue to enjoy it!
