MOON RIVER | Paolo Alderighi

Описание к видео MOON RIVER | Paolo Alderighi

Henry Mancini and Johnny Mercer wrote this beautifully nostalgic song for the 1961 film, “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” Audrey Hepburn, who stars as Holly Golightly in the film, was the inspiration for Mancini to write “Moon River,” giving the song a “quality of wistfulness – a kind of slight sadness,” as Mancini himself described. Hepburn wasn’t a professional singer and was dubbed by Marni Nixon in “My Fair Lady,” but it was really Hepburn singing “Moon River” in that famous scene in the fire escape - with just the right pathos.
