The secret to hula hooping successful is not always the correct movements and technique, but instead it could come down to having the right hula hoop size. The bigger the hula hoop is the slower it spins, which can be easier for beginners. Whereas the smaller the hula hoop is, the faster it spins, which can make it more challenging. Before hula hooping I always recommend making sure you have the right hula hoop size. Otherwise, it won't matter what hula hoop tricks and tips I teach, because if you have the wrong hula hoop size, you likely won't be successful.
