Hello, groomers

This is Jessie with Sharp Edges in Oklahoma.

And today I wanted to talk about the newest cordless clipper on the market.

Wahl KMC Plus.

This was just released in July of 2024. I got my first order in, and I thought we'd do an unboxing together. Let's take a closer look.

My understanding is that this is supposed to replace the original cam cordless. The, um, poppy or orange-ish red color. Let's see what, um, changes they've made. We'll open it up here.

So we have our instruction manual and warranty card in here. And in this big box, I'm suspecting is the cord.

Let's open this up. Yeah. So we got in here. So this looks to be a 240 adapter. So you can plug in 110 or 240 if you're overseas. Let's see. We also have clipper blade oil and a blade brush for cleaning your blades. Now let's take a look at the clipper and see what's different about it.

The first thing we'll see here is that the color is different. The original KM cordless was a what they called poppy color, which is kind of an orangish red to me. This one seems to be a very, very light green, almost beige color. Um, there's also some texture on the case on the front and the back, just to make it a little easier to hold.

Uh, it also seems a little slimmer, just, uh, a little bit slimmer than the original cam cordless. Um, the weights, real similar. Like most, um wahl clippers, this comes with a number ten competition blade, same hinge and blade lever as the km original km cordless. And all the km um clippers like the km five and km ten.

Um, this has two speeds. The first speed is 3700 spm, which is what the original cordless was. But this also has a second speed of 4500 spm, which is pretty fast. Um, so you'll definitely want to, uh, oil your blades more often when running this clipper. My guess is that since wide blades have become so popular in the grooming industry, this is, um, Wahl's answer to that.

To give you a bigger, faster motor to handle that. Um, this has a two hour runtime, it says, and a 60 minutes charge time. You can also run it corded, so it can go corded or cordless. If you run low on juice, you can plug it in and still use the clipper, which is kind of handy.
