Did your soap batter seize on you? This is how you can fix it (it's easy)

Описание к видео Did your soap batter seize on you? This is how you can fix it (it's easy)

In this video I demonstrate how to save a failed or seized soap batch, an experience quite funnily referred to among cold process soap makers as 'Soap on a Stick'!

This method presumes there was nothing wrong with your soap recipe, but something (usually a tricky ingredient/fragrance oil or process mistake) caused the soap batter to thicken dramatically, causing it to harden before it could be put in the mould.

If you suspect your soap may be lye heavy, then you will need to add more oil to your soap rebatch to consume some of the excess lye (that's coming in a future video).

How much water to use for your rebatch
Approximately 60g/ml water per 1kg soap
(about 1 ounce water per pound of soap)
