This was an epic run on on an epic day. The first half of the Kepler Challenge included a sharp mountain climb to Mt Luxmore Hut followed by running along tussock covered ridgelines and then a steep descent to Iris Burn Hut. The second part of the course followed the Iris Burn down a valley to the shores of Lake Manapouri. The track then headed over to the banks of the Waiau River before returning to the start - finish line.
