SUPERMAN 2 4K UHD BLU-RAY REVIEW

Review to the recent 4K UHD disc release of Superman 2. This pack comes with two 4K discs, one containing the original theatrical version of the film directed by Richard Lester and the second containing the 2006 reconstruction of Richard Donner's version of the film. Two Blu-rays are also included and contain extra features about the making of the films, plus the 1940's Superman cartoon series that are not available on the 4K disc. Commentaries are on the 4K discs though. Richard Donner cut has Dolby Stereo (aka ProLogic) sound whereas the original Lester version has a Dolby Atmos option which did not decode successfully on my THX 5.1 system and the original theatrical Dolby Stereo sounded much better.
Image aspect ratio is approximately 2.40:1 and the running time is 2 hours and 7 minutes but about 15 minutes shorter for the Donner cut.
