I wrote this story (#5 in my First Year Spanish book: "Teaching Spanish with Comprehensible Input") with the intention of reviewing some of the grammar structures and vocabulary we had been learning up until now. It also has some new words. I decided to tell it this way (with drawings instead of classical TPRS) to changes things a bit, and also because I knew students were really comfortable with most of the language being used.
