Caron Ombre crochet blanket, crosshatch stitch, & June blooms! 6/8/2024

Nothing motivates me like a thunderstorm! Relocating rudbeckia, crochet, macrame. June flower garden tour

Welcome to my bumblebee garden! They seem very pleased here!

Hello!

Today's video actually includes cars! And not ones in pristine condition either! One is a vehicle I saw in traffic, the other is a parking issue with a new resident here.

With the threat of thunderstorms lingering in the weather forecast, I grabbed by shovel and garden gloves and moved one of my black-eyed Susan's (rudbeckia) that was being overshadowed by my autumn joy sedums. There was concrete where I wanted to relocate it and had to find a clear spot in the dirt.

You will notice the cicadas are still quite loud and how much the bumblebees love my flowers. Happy gardener :)

Macrame was another project that I worked on this week. I continued working on the full length valances for my balcony door and windows. The pattern is simply an alternating square knot and I'm using a 5mm 100% cotton cord.

One skein of Caron Ombre yarn has been crocheted into my new bed blanket and I share with you how far the first skein has gone. I am double-stranding this blanket. I love the look and feel when it's 2-ply!

My girlfriend requested a summer blanket in navy and cream, and you know I was thrilled at the opportunity! I found a great price on the yarn I'd chosen and am excited to get it started. August is my target completion date.

And my video closes with a beautiful tour of all my glorious flowers in bloom! Enjoy!
