Isaac's backstory in the first dead space game back in 2008 gave us a little bit of insight into his history with his parents Octavia and Poul Clarke however it had left us with unanswered questions as to what happened to Isaac's father and where his mother was, along with what Nicole had been sorry about, how she hurt him. In the remake they have completely overhauled this to give us a story that feels more refined and makes more sense.
