FNX Now, "The Revenant" Four-Legged Ceremony

On Wednesday, August 26, 2015, FNX was invited to take part in a Blessing Ceremony hosted by New Regency / 20th Century Fox Studios at Big Sky Ranch. The traditional ceremony was held to honor the spirits of the Four-Legged' s used in production of the Alejandro Iñárritu film The Revenant staring Oscar Nominated Actors Leonardo Dicaprio and Tom Hardy, and an array of Native talent including new comer Forrest Goodluck. The ceremony was made possible through the work of New Regency Production Cultural Liaison Buz Wasler (Shawnee/Kickapoo) and his wife Karin Wasler (Danish/German).

Participants included Rudy Ortega, Chairman of the Fernandeno Tatavian Band of Mission Indians (original stewards of the Sky Movie Ranch land, the San Fernando Valley), Jason and Frank Morsette (Arikara) from the Three Affiliated Tribes of Fort Berthold, Blessing Coordinator Leslie Hammerberg (Mandan-Hidatsa), FNX | First Nations Experience Television and members of the Revenant Production Team including Oscar Nominated Costume Designer Jacqueline West.
