Digitakt Lofi Beat Tutorial // Mixing Tips

Hey friends, in this video I create a pattern from a pool of sounds I selected prior to recording. Choosing and editing your batch of samples is just the first step in developing an interesting pattern. Once rhythms and melodies begin to unfold, it's important to continue tweaking so everything nestles together as well as it can!

Here, I struggled with finding a melody that didn't just sound like arbitrary notes from a scale. Sometimes, finding the right sonic nook for your melody can be as important as the melody itself. I really liked the end result here and am looking forward to pursuing this track further.
