Liquid-Liquid Extraction (LLE) is performed by the Speedy from Zinsser Analytic. The Speedy automatically detects the location of the top of the aqueous phase in a tube, then adds the organic phase.The tube is then vortexed using the Zinsser single tube vortexer and the top organic layer is automatically extracted. Additional options to the LLE process are weighing of the destination vial to determine the exact mass that was transferred and bar code scanning of the vial.
