Seahorse Labour and Birth.

Ironically the first batch of baby Seahorses in Portphillip Melbourne Australia are born on or around the first week of September timing it nicely for Fathers day. The Seahorses shown here are Shorthead Seahorses(Hippocamus breviceps). The males when courting inflate their bellies to show that they are capable of receiving a lot of eggs, apparently they will be the best dads. With around 3 weeks gestation and the interest of male to quickly receive new egg during the Spring and Summer season they might easily squeeze in 4 batches of babies. Music from u tube free music.
