Problem Child Calms Down 💙 Double Wandering Ring Pour Featuring Darkened Pewter! Gorgeous Lines!

Acrylic Pouring Painting Abstract Fluid Art Wandering Ring Pour Pewter Paynes Gray

Hello Friends! Welcome back to another night time pouring edition! The last pour you guys saw me do was "Problem Child", so named because of the Pewter I used that never behaves correctly for me. Tonight I am doing that pour again, with a few key changes.
One of our viewers, Tami H had suggested adding a little bit of Paynes Gray to the Pewter, to make it behave better, and I have done that. I have also removed 2 of the colors we used in the original, Emerald Metallic with Black and the Regale Blue to simplify the palette and keep it tight and clean.

My Colors are:
DecoArt Americana Decor
Metallics
- Pewter (with some
Paynes Gray added)
- 24K Gold

- Prussian Blue
- Iridescent Pearl (with some
24KGold)

Pebeo Studios Dyna
- Blue Green

Pouring Medium:
Liquitex Gloss Medium
Paint + a bit of Water
Floetrol
Goldens GAC 800

There is NO Silicone
in Any of My Paint.

I layer my cup carefully down the side, keeping contrast in mind.
I put down a pillow of thinned out Prussian Blue and pour into that, a wandering ring pour across the canvas. I pour the cups more in the middle of the canvas, rather than at the top because I want to be able to stretch them out and expand the lines. Then I use more of the thinned out Prussian Blue as a flow extender around the pour and create another pillow to pour the second cup into. Because I added the flow extender around the first pour before I poured the second cup, there is a lovely dark blue space between the pours that is underneath them and looks much much better than it did in the original Problem Child.

I tilt to cover the canvas and then really look at it. The Pewter has not taken over, it has stayed where I put it but also stretched out nicely. The darkened color is really lovely.
I am much happier with this piece than with the original.
