Green Hibiscus 🌺 A Bold & Beautiful Split Cup Pour in Emerald Green, Pistachio, Gold & Pthalo Blue!

Green Hibiscus 20x20 Acrylic Pouring Painting Fluid Abstract Art Spun Out Split Cup Wandering Ring Pour

Hello Friends! Welcome back to another beautiful day in the garden!
I purchased a 3D printed split cup about a year ago, but have not used it yet. I have been watching Fiona from @Fiona Art and Julie Cutts from @Pouring Your Heart Out both use split cups recently and the results are gorgeous! Today we are pouring a Spun Out Split Cup Wandering Ring Pour!

My Colors are:
Pebeo Studios
- Iridescent Gold + some DecoArt
Extreme Sheen 24K Gold

Arteza
- Pearl Pistachio Green

Liquitex Basics
- Pthalo Blue
- Titanium White

DecoArt Americana Decor Metallics

My Pouring Medium is:
Liquitex Gloss Medium
Paint
Floetrol

There is NO Silicone in Any of My Paint

I fill the chambers of the cup with my 4 colors, then put down a basecoat of my white, then pour the Split Cup in a Wandering Ring Pour in the center of the canvas. I have my spinner ready to go, so I spin out the pour a little before I decide to tilt it.

Looking at it, I like the design areas, but I feel like there is too much of the Pistachio, and try to tilt some of it off. Im still not liking it very much, so I decide to pour it again, with much less Pistachio. I add more Pthalo Blue on both sides of the split cup, then pour it again. Almost immediately I like the colors better than the first pour.

This one reminds me of a Hibiscus flower! There's a section toward the bottom that has a beautiful fold in it, making it look like a fluted flower with wide petals. There is a lot more of the Pthalo Blue in the 2nd pour, providing a lot of contrast. I like it! I didn't get quite the same effects as Fiona and Julie, my paint may have been a bit thicker. I definitely want to play with this some more!
