Analyzing Your Strengths & Weaknesses in Tekken [Fundamentals]

Описание к видео Analyzing Your Strengths & Weaknesses in Tekken [Fundamentals]

I had this idea of breaking down Tekken into simple Fundamental Building Blocks one day while I was writing a script for a Korean Backdash Movement Guide. It started with just talking about movement, but then I began having good ideas concerning other areas of Tekken--and thus this video started coming together. I hope this video is not too boring/tedious ( I'm really bad at talking on the spot =) )--but yea these are my thoughts/ interpretations of what are the core Fundamentals of Tekken and how you can use them to analyze your strengths and weaknesses in the game--ultimately making yourself grow as a player in the long run.

TEKKEN FUNDAMENTAL BUILDING BLOCKS
Foundation: The Mind and The Soul
Layer #1: Reactions & Guessing
Layer #2: Frame Data & Spacing
Layer #3: Offensive/Defensive Options & Movement
Layer #4: Esoteric Tekken Knowledge
Layer #5: Mind Games

REMEMBER, all these things mean nothing if you don't Train hard and Believe in yourself. Practice practice practice, always practice. Theory is useless without application (I think Bruce Lee said something along those lines ^_^).

P.S: One huge thing I left out in this video is Lateral movement aka Sidestepping. But I guess you guys can sorta fill in the gaps from my movement + spacing segments.

If you're interested in the stick I'm using it's a dual modded stick designed to work on PS3/Xbox360. It also has legacy support on PS4 fighting games such as T7, SFV, KOF14, GG, BB, MKX, and IJ2 etc. I highly recommend this fight stick, I've been using it years and it's served me well ^_^.
