Описание к видео Reading & Northern 425 - "Lehigh Rambler" - NRHS 2010 - Plus 425 LGSR Footage!

Reading & Northern 425 ran an excursion on June 26, 2010 in cooperation with the 2010 NRHS "Endless Mountain Rails" convention. 425 leads a long and unique route from Duryea to Jim Thorpe, then to Port Clinton. A bonus included in this video is also footage from the 4th of July weekend special in 2010 where 425 powered the excursions on the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway! There was plenty of stack talk on both trips, so I hope you enjoy!

This video was made possible in cooperation with Penn Rail Videos.

A time-stamp navigator and clip description is listed below.

0:00 - Introductory Scene at Duryea

0:20 - Climbing up the grade at Dupont, listen to all of that stack talk!

2:08 - Passing Penobscot Tower at the height of the mountain in Mountain Top. The Lehigh Rambler certainly rambles the camera as it races on by.

2:55 - The train is about to enter White Haven tunnel as it rounds a nice sweeping curve just north of White Haven.

3:45 - 425 races through Tannery as it is about to enter the long and winding Lehigh Gorge.

4:33 - Arrives at Jim Thorpe where the 425 will be taken off of the train and turned on the turntable for the trip south to Port Clinton.

5:57 - Climbing up the grade toward Hometown, 425 stack talks its way along the mountainside just south of Nesquehoning.

7:45 - The train is viewed from afar as a church steeple marks the background in Quakake, as the train rounds the bend toward its decent to Tamaqua.

8:50 - 425 rounds the curve at West Penn

9:35 - Barely making it in time to set up, 425 dashes through scenic Molino above track speed.

10:15 - 425 makes a triumphant arrival at Port Clinton.

11:15 - At Port Clinton

12:01 - 425 at Jim Thorpe for the Lehigh Scenic Gorge Excursions on July 5, 2010.

12:15 - Departing Jim Thorpe.

13:45 - Entering Lehigh Gorge State Park with stack talk!

14:45 - Crossing the Lehigh River at Glen Onoko with tons of swimmers enjoying their time off in the Lehigh River. Even though the lighting sucked, this is one of my personal favorite shots I have of 425.

15:40 - 425 backs toward Jim Thorpe after finishing another run to Old Penn Haven.

Well, that's all for now, thanks for watching!
