Imaginaries Literary Podcast #4 -The Banshee

Pale moonlight streaked between the shadows of the ancient oak trees of the Northern Forest. A light breeze whistled through curved branches and swept dried leaves into piles at the foot of the solitary home buried deep within the forest. Not much noise came from inside the home; it was bedtime, so naturally, the parents were tired, and the kids strained silently to stay awake. A small light on the uppermost floor flickered through the shadows—it was the boy’s room.
Kieran, the elder brother, stalked through his room with a torch, heading towards his younger brother’s bed. No matter the time of day or night, Kieran was always ready for an adventure.
Liam, however, was quiet and pretty much scared of everything. He’d rather snuggle up to Mum near the fireplace than hunt the Bodach in the rain with his fearless brother.
