Trains at Skipton - 01/09/2016

Filmed on 01/09/2016. The fifth and final station along the Leeds to Skipton mainline see's us arriving into the station before it joins the Settle & Carlisle, welcome to Skipton (Season 3 Episode 59)

At this station, we see a variety of Arriva Rail North services heading for a variety of destinations including: Leeds, Morecombe and Bradford Forster Square.

I apologize that this is only a short stint as my camcorder battery died. Its one thing I've learnt that is I need to buy a second battery for my camcorder which is one thing I am going to do.

We got some good thrashing from sprinter units including class 153 and 158 on a working service from Appleby to Leeds. Now, after the bad overnighter I experienced at Carlisle, I headed via Settle & Carlisle line. There was a two coach 158 service but from Shipley, the train was packed full to Leeds which is why now Northern has learnt to put on additional coaches for this service at certain times.

A rather odd combination we see a class 153 with a 150 Sprinter unit heading for Morecombe via Carnforth. I think the class 153 train would come of at Lancaster whilst the 150 sprinter continues for Morecombe.
