Skipton Station serves the town known as the "Gateway to the Dales", and is a busy commuter route into both Bradford and Leeds, as well as the starting point of the famous Settle and Carlisle line.
The station is exceptionally well preserved, although updated for modern needs. The lines have been electrified from here into West Yorkshire.
As well as a selection of Northern EMUs and DMUs, there is also some movements of GBRF class 66's on the Rylstone working.
