Tajikistan has become a beloved and attractive country for world travel lovers, with the image of a safe and peaceful country during the period of Independence, it received the best and most expanded opportunities for tourism development in the region, and according to prestigious international organizations, it occupies a prominent place in the world news networks:
The British Travel Magazine “Wanderlust” ranked Tajikistan fourth among the top five countries in the world in terms of visa facilitation, including tourist visa;
British Backpacker Society included Tajikistan in the top ten best countries in the world and ranked 7th in terms of opportunities for adventure and trekking;
The U.S. State Department of Tourism recommends the Republic of Tajikistan to its citizens as one of the safest countries to travel to;
The 2018 World Travel Expo Berlin hosted the “Top 100 Global Leaders for Protecting National Culture, Traditions, and People’s Engagement in Tourism Awards Ceremony”.
Russian Analytical Agency “TourStat” has developed a rating of foreign tourist destinations in 2017 and identified the most popular destinations for Russian tourists in 2017. The Republic of Tajikistan is included in the list of 50 most popular destinations for Russian tourists;
According to a survey conducted by the TourStat Analytical Agency in Russia, Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, was included in the list of 10 cities of the Commonwealth of Independent States suitable for tourism in spring and autumn;

In 2019, foreign media, including the well-known state media of the Russian Federation – TASS, Uzbekistan – UzA, Kyrgyzstan – Kabar published materials about the tourism development in Tajikistan, the unique nature, clean waters, beautiful landscapes, historical and cultural sites and described Tajikistan as a country with great tourism potential in the prism of the international tourism market;
Tajikistan’s tourism industry has won the world’s most prestigious business award – THE BIZZ Business Excellence Award 2019;
According to the survey conducted by the prestigious international magazine “Lonely Planet”, Tajikistan ranked first among the top 10 travel destinations and Silk Road travel in Central Asia;
In 2020, the British Travel Magazine “Wanderlust” presented the Fedchenko glacier, Garmchashma, Iskandarkul, Sarez Lake, Vakhan corridor, Karakul and Chapdara as seven beautiful natural wonders in Tajikistan and recommended for tourists to visit;
The Pacific Area Travel Writers Association (PATWA), which is recognized as one of the world’s most influential tourism organization, has declared the Republic of Tajikistan as a stable and inviolable destination for tourism;
In January 2021, the prestigious British Magazine “The Travel Magazine” published an article about the attractive tourist destinations of Tajikistan, according to which Tajikistan has the potential for international tourism, some of which are eligible to be included in the list of UNESCO’s intangible world heritage (for example, Yamchun Fortress and the ancient town of Panjakent);
The declaration of Dushanbe city as the “Tourist Capital” of the Economic Cooperation Organization in 2021” and under this initiative, the publication of 500 copies of the special issue of the “ECO Heritage” magazine in English, which presents the tourism achievements and opportunities of Dushanbe as a tourist capital of ECO region for 2020-2021;
The inclusion of our beloved country – Tajikistan along with 15 other countries to the list of destinations to which citizens of the Russian Federation can travel on vacation without any restriction.
