2022-23 Southwest Indian Ocean Cyclone Season

Animation of the busy 2022-23 Southwest Indian Ocean Cyclone Season, featuring numerous strong storms which affected Madagascar, Mozambique, and other parts of Africa. The highlight of the season was Cyclone Freddy, which became the longest lived storm worldwide and peaked at Category 5 status. Impacts from the storm were also tremendous in parts of Mozambique, Malawi and other parts of Africa.
