The Chicken Year Month by Month: February

In this series we will be following a year with our chickens month by month. We'll cover:

As breeders of Buff Orpingtons our chicken year starts in February. This is the month where we are planning our breeding year ahead and preparing the flock for the breeding season including fertility testing the cockerels. Also in this month:
- Cold weather care
- Free range grass care
- New laying hens
- Feeding changes
- Chicken saddles

We breed Buff Orpington chickens and have kept them for a number of years.
