Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers - ARCADE Vega Playthrough

Описание к видео Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers - ARCADE Vega Playthrough

Blind run of Arcade mode.

For a better Vega performance that includes his Crimson Terror that I neglect in this playthrough (not to mention his classic voice) see this online play video:    • Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Ch...

Using New Style and New Sounds here. The new style is ok but I'm not liking the new sounds. I think the stage remixes are a bit bland and I really miss Vega's "YIIIOUUUUUWWWW!" spam, so I'll be switching that out for any future videos. I'll leave this as a demonstration of what the new sounds are like.

I haven't played Street Fighter II in years but it's one of those games you don't really forget how to play (unlike more complicated battle systems like Tekken/Soul Calibur etc where everyone has about 200 moves/combos) so I fare reasonably well here.

It's not a pro run but it qualifies as a veteran run. I didn't run into any major trouble here.

For anyone unfamiliar with the franchise, Arcade mode consists of 12 opponents. The 1st 8 are random "other challengers" and the last 4 are the bosses. Or you could say 3 sub-bosses then the final boss.

In this edition a particularly good run will change the final boss to a secret one (Akuma), but I just face the initial M. Bison here.

Speaking of M. Bison I'm pretty competant as him as well so could just as easily have done this video as him but I like using Vega as he's very fast and nimble (as you can see here). I like fast...

I chose against using either of the "shotokan boys" because 'EVERYONE picks Ryu or Ken' and I didn't think that would be very interesting. I can use all the characters though.

Pro players use an arcade stick but I don't. Just using the pro controller here, mostly the D-pad as opposed to the analogue stick. Apparently a lot of people struggle with Vega's super finish like that but I manage ok.

I neglected his Scarlet Terror here. I was trying to do it but I was mostly using the wrong input as I recall two versions of that move. I remember it now. Would have been handy in a few places. I use it in my follow-up online play video though.
