Episode 20: Marines in the Water

We dropped our anchor on Mile Hammock Bay, which is located at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. It was a nice anchorage and Guy had a heavy load of grading to finish so we stayed three nights.

We woke before the sunrise one morning and saw dozens of Marines swimming around the anchorage. We aren't sure but it seems that they had been dropped into the water at about 10:00 PM the night before because there was a lot of commotion onshore at that time.

Our cruise north from Mile Hammock Bay was calm and enjoyable.
